About Us

The Farewell Vet is a veterinary home euthanasia service based in Bendigo, Victoria. This service is offered by Dr Emma Chatterton, who has over 10 years of experience and has resided in Bendigo for several years.

The Farewell Vet understands the difficulty of saying goodbye to a beloved pet. By being able to offer this service within the home, we are ensuring a calm and peaceful environment for your pet's final moments.

Our services operate by appointment only, and we strive to be accommodating when it comes to scheduling.

Services

At Home Euthanasia

Saying goodbye to your pet is never easy, but our At-Home Euthanasia Service can provide a peaceful and compassionate option. To reduce stress and ensure comfort, all pets are sedated prior to the procedure. This service is currently available for small animals including cats, dogs and pocket pets. Our fees start at $330.

Afterlife Care

We recommend thinking about this prior to your appointment. We recommend local company Central Victorian Pet Cremations located in Bendigo. If you wish to bury your pet at home, please check with your local council to ensure you understand the regulations and legality surrounding this.

Location

The Farewell Vet is dedicated to serving clients within the Bendigo area. A travel fee may be applied to those outside of the specified range (excluding Huntly and Strathfieldsaye). For those living beyond the Greater Bendigo region, we will do our best to accommodate you.
